A message from Yale Club Running: We are getting psyched for the group run on Saturday. We will meet at 9:00am at the Women’s Table (outside Sterling Library, off Elm St across from the Post Office) and then run up to Lake Wintergreen at West Rock (slightly under 10 miles total). Hey all, I just got word from the New Haven recreation department that the lights will be on at the Wilbur cross track every Monday-Friday from 4-8pm!!

There will be a group of us meeting at Nica's at 7:30 am tomorrow for a 20 mile loop out canal trail and back Ridge road! There will be a range of paces, probably starting around 7:45-8 minute pace and the cutting down. Comment below if you wanna join and if at a different pace group include that so folks know the options!

It will be hosted by tracksmith as part of a series of events in NYC leading up to the marathon. There will be a group meeting at 7 am at Nica's and headed out ridge for a loop that can be between 18-22 miles (also options to turn off for 10-12). Starting for the first 10-12 miles at 7:45-8 minute pace then on the way back groups have miles between 6:25 and 6:50 pace.

As many of you may have heard,(https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/woman-attacked-at-gunpoint-while-jogging-near-park-in-new-haven-police/3123006/) a runner was attacked this week while running around Edgewood Park. This is very upsetting and scary to us and we wanted to remind everyone to be thoughtful about safety, especially as the daylight hours get shorter. Please feel free to use this forum as a way to find running buddies outside of the regularly scheduled runs and also join the Strava (https://www.strava.com/clubs/74569/recent_activity)group to see what runs members of the club are doing to also help find people on similar schedules.
