A group of NHRRs will be heading to Ralph Walker Rink for the 11:30AM - 2:30PM Open Skate session tomorrow, Friday (3/29). Skating is great cross training for running and, more importantly, it will be a fun opportunity to hang out with running pals without huffing and puffing! Hope you'll join us :-) Where: Ralph Walker Rink, 1080 State Street, New Haven CT 06511 When: 11:30AM - 2:30PM - we'll all be arriving before noon! Cost: $8 admission for New Haven residents (might require proof of residency so bring some old mail), otherwise $10 admission for non-New Haven residents; $7 skate rental What to bring: Safety materials if needed (helmet, knee/elbow-pads...); gloves; warm, comfortable clothing; proof of residency if NHV resident Ralph Walker is just down the street from Wilbur Cross and this is one of the last sessions of the season so, if you've wanted to get some ice time this year, there's no better chance! The 2024 Olympic Marathon Team Trials are taking place in Orlando this Saturday, February 3rd, at 10:00 am 🥳 If you can't make it to Florida to cheer on your favorite athletes in person, I will be hosting an Olympic Trials Watch Party this weekend at my apartment in Wooster Square. All are very welcome! There will be light fare and some crafts - perfect for getting out those race-watching jitters! Hi ghouls! There is a small but mighty group heading out for a 20k run tomorrow morning. We'll meet at 7:30am on the corner of Grove and State Street, run to the Grove Street Cemetery (arrival time probably around 7:40 if you want to meet us here), and then head over to the Farmington Canal Trail for a short workout. 4 x k alternations [7:00 min pace / easy pace] If measuring the distance w the metric system is spookier to you than the cemetery, no fear! My watch will be set to kilometers. hope to catch you there🕷️🕸️

A couple of groups are planning to depart for long runs from Nica's this Sunday at 7:15 am! - The first group is doing an 8 mile loop. - The other group will be doing around 14.5 miles at an 8:15 pace (with an option for an additional mile if you live in the Wooster Sq area). Hope to see you there!
