CT Grand Prix Race #3: Men Take First!

In the third race of the 2012 USATF-CT Grand Prix Series, the Danbury Half Marathon, the NHRR men took first in the Open Mens Divsion.
Congratulations to Tom and Bart who cracked the top ten and to Tom, Joost and newcomer Ben Albright who managed PRs on a very difficult course! Complete results can be found below and photos have been posted on the Photos page.

In the second race of the 2012 USATF-CT Grand Prix Series, the WPLR Shamrock and Roll 5k, the NHRR men took first in the Open Mens Divsion.

CT Grand Prix Race #1: Men Sweep!

In the first race of the 2012 USATF-CT Grand Prix Series, The Winder Wonderland 5 Miler, the NHRR men swept the top four spots and the majority of the top ten.

Men Place Second at USATF CT CUP!

In the inaugural USATF-CT Cup, hosted by the Norfolk Pub 10 mi, the NHRR men placed second to EKG. While the NHRR women were unable to field a team Bess took 2nd overall to Olympic Marathon Trials hopeful, Shannon McHale.
Congratulations to EKG and the Hartford Track Club who won the first Mens' and Womens' Connecticut Cups!
Bess wins the Christopher Martin's 5k!

Congratulations to Bess and Tom who finished first and fourth in the Christopher Martin's Run for Children this past Sunday! Overall it was a great day for NHRR which featured several top ten finishers and several PR's. Dan, Eugene and Joost rounded out the top ten while 100 mile Pete defended his title as #1 Santa. In addition, Andrew, Nice Pete, Roberto, Brian, Joost and Eugene all ran PR's or 2011 bests in a 5k! Complete race results can be found below and photos will be posted shortly.

CT Grand Prix Final: Men take second; Women take fifth

Finishing the series with a brief winning streak the NHRR men solidified their second place position but were unable to catch EKG in the end. Congratulations to EKG who took first overall in the Men's Open Competition!
While the women started the series with a winning streak of their own, circumstances prevented them from fielding a complete team for the second half of the series in spite of some stellar individual performances. Congratulations to Hitek who took first in the Women's Open Competition!
CT Grand Prix Race #7: Men win the Niantic Half-Marathon!

In the seventh race of the USATF-CT Grand Prix Series, under extremely humid conditions (yet again), the NHRR men placed first among USATF-CT Teams! Higlights of the race include Bart placing 3rd and Tom placing 4th overall! On the womens' side, while the NHRR women were not able to field a team, they were well represented by Bess who took 3rd! In the fifth race of the USATF-CT Grand Prix Series, The Sound Runner Sea Legs Shuffle, The NHRR men again placed second. While the women were not able to field a team for this race, they remain first overall in the racing series.
